    'Last time I shipped a 1/35th scale armor-model I got smart.
I bought a display-case and bolted it down after drilling through the hull of the Bradley and another hole in the oak-base of the display case.
This ensured it would be 'battened-down' and then the case was slipped back into it's original packaging. Then a trip to UPS for a final packing in yet another box--with peanuts--to be shipped out.
By the way, they will only insure a model for the retail-cost of the kit. Your time spent turning it into a work of art is worth nothing for insurance purposes.
Another tip passed along was to never mark your package FRAGILE-HANDLE WITH CARE. This is an invitation for the shipping-handlers to drop-kick it off the back of a semi. I was told they are especially rough with any package marked FRAGILE.

to remove seams when you glue tyres, in this case on an italeri kit, 234/1
use a mandrel , a rvs drill, i found out that ryobi are the slowest, and sandpaper 220 or 320

    cont.
run the drill at the slowest speed possible, and move around the sandpaper
won't take much time to do this.
    note:
you can not do this on all models, for example tamiya 232 you can not, sorry
