    I wasn't aware of a German vehicle that used Christie suspension Sturmtiger (although, since I'm full of flu at the moment my head's not working properly :D ).
    Which tank were you thinking of? (PS there was a clue I gave to Roel a couple of posts earlier...)

    The only clue to be had from that post is Poland, but none of the Polish vehicles had anything like Christie suspension IIRC. :-?

    Roel got the country - the tank was the 10 TP - looked very much like a BT-series.

    Hi.

    Japan also tested the Christie-Suspension:

    type 98 light tank Mitsubishi prototype

    The horizontal spring suspension which was standard in Japan was found slightly superiour and so the Christie-suspension was abandoned.

    I think it is a British assault tank proably WWII im gonna take a guess and say its the Tortoisse.

    no, it is a landmine detector/remover, :lol:
    it uses the jet exhaust to remove dirt and revel the mines

    It 'reveled' em all right! Teller mines flipped up like a frisby and came down anywhere! Great 'Revels' all round! BUT you are correct, that was the 'boffins' idea, they came into their own in the winter of 47 clearing snow from road and rails. (and, yes, I have posted them before!)

    Re: what chassis?

    As to "what chassis" I'm pretty sure it is a Canadian Ram Cruiser Tank (mechanically parctically identical to the American Sherman tank).

    As to "what use" I'm open to all suggestions and would love to hear more!
