GP, We will never know for sure who is best as these forces will most likely not fight each other. As such, any statement we make is sheer speculation. One thing however is not speculation. Nothing has stood up to the American Armed Forces in a long, long time. ********** Keira..., The M-1 Garand will vary in price based on condition. You can find it between $300-$500 here in the USA. The carbine is a different story. Depends on what you are after. Many of these have been made in the USA as "after market" weapons. They are inferior to the originals but you can find them around $200+/-. Orginal manufactured carbines are more difficult to find and will cost more. Stay away from the "Universal" carbine. I would not sell either my Garand or Carbine for any reasonable price. Go to a gun sale in your area and look around. If you are in the USA, you can buy, sell, and trade from individuals that do not possess an FFL and do not have to fill out a "yellow form". If you buy from a dealer that has a FFL, all forms have to be filled out, including appropriate waiting periods and background checks for hand guns. (Never understood the Brady Law -You have to wait and have a background check to buy a pistol (inferior weapon) but not for a rifle - Go figure that one). If you are looking for full auto weapons, that is still additional licensing fees and checks. I have no interest in full auto. A waste of ammo and semi automatic weapons can be converted to full auto in a short time if indeed one had a reason (illegal however). :smok:
Ok, thanks. Yeah, I was talking to some guys who run a military store and they said that if it's an antique, you don't need a license or anything. I saw a carbine that was priced for $585 last weekend. i wonder if that was post-war. thanks again for the info.
if your lokking for cheap guns go on the web i managed to find a sten mk2 for £99 and i also found a bar for £150-200
lok on google you can fnd loads of army surplus there and thats were i found the guns sorry i cant give you any addresses because i found the sites a year ago and i didnt get the names
Unless there has been a change I am unaware of however, you cannot order firearms via the mail anymore in the USA. Compliments of the 1968 gun law. I really do think your best bet at finding guns you would like of all types are at a local gun show. :smok:
i dont have t worry about thatthen because im in england. me and sum friends ar saving up for a bar and were going to get ammo for it and get it recommisionsed
 Here in the Netherlands, it's likely that the license will cost you more than the gun... And not because guns are so cheap, if you know what I mean.
i dont think there shud be any gun control but bullet control but insted there shud be bullet control 5000 dollars per bulle that wud make someone thnk twice before shooting someone
Dave, that's not your line! Chris Rock said that in one of his stand-up comedian shows, and Michael Moore used it in his documentary "Bowling for Columbine". It was very funny. "Man, I'm gonna shoot you... if I can afford it! Yeah you heard me! I'm gonna sell my car, get me a second job, and you a dead man!"
The only problem with that is, how many people are going to die before the guy is stopped? Put a sniper in a spot with lots of ammo, you can fine him all day. Odds are he spent all his money on guns & ammo anyway. You'd see a lot of dead cops! :smok:
C. Rock meant that you'd have to pay 5000 dollars to buy a single bullet, so that you can afford only a few bullets a year on average income. That'd put a serious break on firefights!
