Yes and no. It tells the historic parts right but it makes war seems fun when youre there.

Call of Duty seems to have been made so that gamers can replay famous WW2 movie scenes. As such it is incoherent, predictable, and unoriginal. Another big issue with it is that it's too static to be realistic; after you've played it once you know exactly what guy is going to pop up where and which weapon you will have to have picked up to kill him.

you guys are judging COD on the wrong grounds.

As a war game it's pants. There is no stratagy and it's unrealistic.

But it's a first person shoot'em up and as such it's brill though I find the multiplayer a bit tedious.

Most First Person Shooters are the same, the point is that they're rarely if ever supposed to be accurate re-enactments, they're created I believe anyway as a form of escapism - So what if you're a shelfstacker at a supermarket? For a few hours at a time you can imerse yourself in a different time and save the world!

Actually, it's only been a few years ago that I saw my first game that actually had any graphics of consequence. And I do remember the Olivetti 300 if that cheers you up, Master. :D

I must admit though that the graphics and the "feel" of playing COD is quite good.

thing i find annoying with COD is if you are playing online in team deathmatch you always get a few idiots who just go around shooting anybody and everybody including their own team!!....so frustrating 2 keep getting killed by your own side.

    It's called friendly fire.
If I recall, the first level of Aachen was a complete bitch to get through.
After I finally got the M-12 past that big arch,I experienced the most intense gameplay ever.Krauts all over the place,me looking for ammo and trying not to get killed becuse I don't want to attempt this level again, and all the while I have to protect that damned M-12.My cousin, who is quite critical of everything under the sun,was blown away at the intensity of this game.
