Hey if you enjoy a sport where 22 men dressed in shorts run around after an inflated bladder, kick it between two sticks, hug and kiss one another before running off to have a group bath, that's your business.

    russian novel

the sport reminds me of a russian novel. for 400 pages nothing happens then someboby's aunt dies. when somebody changes the game so there's more to it then watching a ball being kicked back and forth maybe i'll watch. i will say that it sometimes does have cool fan involment. flares and riots are a nice touch

Last night's match was FANTASTIC! Being a 100% loyal Liverpool supporter, it was a match that the English language has not developed itself sufficiently to describe. A fantastic epic comeback does it no justice!

Quite so, one should pity rather than despise the uneducated ;)

BTW is a touchdown something you score in girls Rugby? ;)

What about "mildly entertaining to some elements of society if a frightful bore to others".

"Another fruitless waste of energy for many to get excited over for no apparent reason and waste more energy".

    :D

you know what they say...'none are more blind than those who do not wish to see'

there are only 2 things that evoke real passion in ppl around the world sport and the opposite sex. ive managed to embrace both, most on here seem to have difficulty even understanding the concept of either!!

never mind all the more for me

Let's not start that one again...

Hey cheeky, what about nationalism, or religious zeal? They've both tended to heat up the passions a bit in history, more so than sports...

Would English football supporters go on crusade to crush the evil Belgian football supporters and retake the holy land of Charleroi football stadium?
