You have Benbow -- thats one part
There have been many King Edwards, and it may be a metaphorical jewel

By Jove I think I've got it!!!
    Jim Hawkins Home. Admiral Benbow.
Edward 7th. Jewel in the Crown...he was Emperor of India.
Military men...Marlborough and Wellington (Iron Duke).
HMS Marlborough, HMS Iron Duke, HMS Marlborough and
HMS Emperor of India, were all present at the Battle of Jutland.May 31st 1916.
    So, Link is JUTLAND.

Other possible link is that they all were of same class ships (Iron Duke-class).

    Oh dear -- difficult here
Merlin got the four ships of the Iron Duke class -- well done!
but HMS Emperor of India was not present at Jutland (refitting)

Notmi got the correct connection, but I don't think would have done it without Merlin's work

So, a joint victory. How about both of you PM to come up with a good question?

Merlin, the World War 2 quiz is still waiting for an answer as well!

    That is so true!
I'll pass in favour of Merlin as he did all the work.

You're too kind!!!! Where does Tom get them from? I find it harder to find the question than the answer. You'll have to wai unless Notmi comes up first with a good one.
