I'm going to school at the University of Arkansas for a degree in International Relations (Far East specialty), of which I still have 2 years, maybe 3 (if I'm lazy, which I am!) left until I move on to a Masters level studies. You guys might want to remember me when I become ambassador to China, or Vietnam preferably. I don't know why, but you just should.

I also work at the school for a grant called the College Assitance Migratory Program, or CAMP. We get students who are both migrants and agricultural workers into some kind of secondary education. We work primarily with Hispanics, but there's a few Laotian students and good 'ole German-Canadian-American me. It's a great program, it pays for their and my tuition and books, provides tutors (me also being one of those), and pays us $170 a month as long as our grades are good :D .

In my freetime I work on a farm, we have 50 head of cattle (plus babies!) and at least 3,000 rabbits. All this farm stuff is new material for me, I'm just an agriculturally-ignorant city-slicker! I enjoy hanging out with my friends (oddly they're all 4+ years older than I am, and my best friend, Brandon, is about to have his first child) and partying, and I'm sure everyone knows what that entails. :smok:

JCalhoun, I for one thank you for the job that you do. I was in Mobile, Al, a few years back, and the water was delicious!

I'm a welder with an incomplete high school degree, not much to boast about in this company. But I think one of the nice things about these forums are that you are jugded by what you write and not by your gender, age, religion, social position or skin colour. Just as it should be.

Agreed, this thread wasn't supposed to be about judging people on anything, just finding out a bit more about those who we debate with and their backgrounds or life outside of the forum.

I didn't think it was about judging people, I just got a bit insecure about my own competance when I read some of those lists some of you presented. No grudge.

I study physics at local university here. I also teach physics to younger students.
About my teaching: I dont give lectures; my job is to help students solve problems and exercises on 'exercise-days'. I also arrange some of those exercise-days (or hours, they last 2-8 hours, usually under 6), especially now when we got some summercourses and eveningcourses.

Ah, thanks for the information. Some online book-shops show you as second author for that book.

I work for customs as a controler.
I got into a new career some months ago, with a lot of new things to learn, which is why I had less time to spend on the forum.

If I commit a crime while in the area and go to the slammer, I can always discuss tanks with Tom. :D

If you come over here and commit a crime just so we can discuss tanks during your incarceration, I'm gonna start the conversation by smacking you on the back of the head!!! :D

    Ya never know!

I'm going into GR. 11 this September. I have a summer job at the Kingstom Flying Club in (go figure) Kingston, Ontario (someone come visit me pleez!)

In my spare time I (kinda) runa web site with my story on it, write said story (29 chapters so far). I also 'work' work as a comedian on a friend site and as tactician of the '62nd Platoon'. Worlds only comedy platoon (It's a long story.)

When I'm not doing any of that, I'm here bugging you guys.
