There were 3 WW1 tanks: The FT-17: A view inside, from the front And proof that the big front wheel is made from wood: The Whippet: Complete with penetrated armour And an open rear door… Left-hand side Right-hand side The Mk.IV Male Which also had open doors in the sponsoon: They also had what appeared to be a mobilr shield against machine gun fire – it is tiny, less than knee-high: Front Rear
After meeting the Ft-17 in real life, I actually started liking it. But that couldn't keep our tankdesigners Ricky and Roel from summing several possible improvements...
Ricky can you get any pic's of the engine and entire engine compartment? I'm working on RPM kit and i would like to open up the engine. All i have are this pic's of US light tank in Patton museum but i'm not shure if the compartment and the engine are the same
Hi TISO, I'm sorry but I doubt I will be going back to Brussels any time soon. Besides, the engine compartment was closed. Sorry
