Yesterday demonstrators in Budapest demonstrating against current goverment "liberated" a T-34/85 tank that was an exibit on 50-eth anniversary of Hungarian revolution in 1956. The started the tank and started moving toward police positions. Tank stopped after approx. 150 meters becouse it ran out of fuel.

Film of T-34/85 in "action" yesterday:

It takes some time to film to download.

I saw it for a moment on the BBC news this morning, did a double take and then spent the next hour waiting for it to come up again (which it didnt)

Shouldn't they have emptied the tank if it was in a museum exhibit? Now to match this fasinating history.....

Yesterday was a 50 years of the revolution. AFAIK tank was part of temporary display on the square.
