    I am sure that you are correct, although the Tiger looks little damaged to me. Of course, given the principal advantage of the Sherman was it's speed, then maybe the impact of the collision stalled the Tiger's engine and that lead to it's demise ?

    I am sure that you are right, and whilst one doesn't want to detract from the courage of the Soviet tankers, the tactic of ramming probably sprang just as much from lack of ammunition, gun/turret faults as anything else, especially when we know of the ammunition shortages and poor build quality of Soviet armour.
