Scandanavia would be amazing for me, I would just go to check out the metal scene over there and see alot of decent metal bands. tbh I would love to travel around Europe checking out the underground music scenes in each country, because in England, Bristol in particular it is shockingly undersupported.
I guess the good thing about living in Singapore is that i can say i've been to every corner of the country and back in one day.
Qu'est-ce que c'est "tbh?" I'm still not fluent in cyber-shorthand. My travels have literally taken me 'round the globe. Aside from visiting several states: Massachusetts (grew up there!), Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont, Maine, New York, Pennsylvania, Indiana, North and South Carolina, Missouri, Illinois, Georgia, Florida, Hawaii, and California, I've also travelled far and wide on the "military plan!" Japan Mexico Korea Hong Kong Singapore Australia Diego Garcia Kenya Spain France Italy Austria Turkey Egypt Saudi Arabia Norway Germany (not necessarily in that order...) I think that's all. Of course, I spent longer in some places than others. I have fonder memories of time spent in some of them than in others, too! I wouldn't trade any of the experiences, though!
lol, I´ve just visited some countries in europe and since the USA is to far away for me and ym wallet, I think missed an important part of the world^^ I spend some holidays and exchanges in; Italy ( Province of Bolzano-Bozen, Rome the most beautiful city I´ve seen) UK (York, Camebridge, Edinburgh, Oxford, Aberysytwh (don´t know the name exactly, the location was at the coast of Wales), Brighton, London, Wantage (exchange with mates from here and there) these are the locations where I spend at leat one week or more. Frankreich (Normandy, Vimoutiers) Netherlands (Groningen) Austria ( Salzburg, Vienna) that´s it...so many countries in the world to see, would be a life task.^^ Regards, Che.
The only such band I know of is Nightwish, and although I like 'em I wouldn't travel overseas to see 'em And of course Frederik He's cooool
Smeg, it seems 3/4 of the metal bands that my mates listen to are from Scandinavia, especially Finland. Its like Canada, but more powerful, but not as estitically pleasing lol[/quote]
Why, WHY must Scandinavia be known for the "metal scene"? It's interesting to see how many of you have taken the plunge and visited this part of the world... (Norway, that is). How did you guys find it? As for me, I have been in: Norway Sweden Denmark The Netherlands Belgium France Croatia (as a toddler) Germany England South Africa Iceland USA* Canada *I'm afraid I have only been in Minnesota, where a substantial part of my family lives.
I'm sad to say the metal scene in Scandanavian has been tainted by people such as Varg Vikernes. But many good bands such as In Flames, Children of Bodom, Korpiklaani just to name a few have come out of there. Tom Tbh-To be Honest
Canoeing in the lakes north of Minnesota, mostly. But there is now a very good reason to return... see below
Not the only one, there is also Dead from Mayhem (Varg's former band Mayhem) and Jon Nödtveidt of Dissection. and Euronymous of Mayhem would probably have lived up to his lyrics if Varg Vikernes hadn't of killed him. Tis a shame metal music is only thought of because of musicians such as the above. Rather than people like Dimebag Darrell (RIP) But once again I digress back to world travels
and now me of course with Canada I am obviously talking about the Rugby (The pose is what we call the Honey Badger, it's a tour thing that was randomly invented and used throughout.)
Not quite Ossian Just a joke thing that we taught to host families and many other Canadians we met along the way. I don't know where it came from but it just caught on within the 24 strong team
