1- Took five hits to the front one of which knocked the drive sprocket off. 2,3 + 6 - Took hits and caught fire. 4 - Got hit and internal explosion blew the turret off. 5 - Ran over a mine which caused an internal explosion. I'm guessing the bottom blew out because it had already been damaged by the mine.
i have some doubts , specially in pic no 5, as lynn1212 noted, no burn marks and almost no deformation on the plates, i say almost, coz if you look closer on the plate on top the left track you can see it is deformed
Hey Zerkalli, since I can't hide uploaded images behind a link I've added a little warning to your post, because the second picture may be considered explicit. Hope you don't mind.
The mine may have detonated the ammo that's stored on the floor of the tank. When there's an internal explosion the blast will find it's way out through the weakest point. In this case it's through the floor as it's already been damaged by the mine.
thanks ,great pics zerk , quite a few with the turret blown completely off , i guess this kind of event must very stressful and unnerving for the crew but then again it does provide a large and easy escape hole ...
After an internal explosion powerful enough to rip the turret off a tank, the crew are unlikely to be going anywhere except the Pearly Gates.
