Again, it's hard to tell from a photo but the shell appears to be genuine with manufacturer being F.W. Quist of Esslingen. The rolled edge is very neatly done, as is often evident on the genuine article, whereas the Chinese and Indian replicas are very uneven and shabby.

However, I'm not so sure about the decal or paint as they both look modern applications.

The liner looks ok but without seeing it 'in the flesh' it's hard to make a positive decision.

I'll echo that. The shell is authentic WW2. The liner looks fine , but I'd need to actually touch it to make sure whether it it's WW2 or not . One hint could be found on the liner band , they are often marked . I have doubts about the decal, especially because the wing seems have to have been cut on purpose and that two branches of the swastika seem to have been put on top of some model. It's hard to tell . The paint effect can be achieved by putting a shell in an oven at a low tempaerature. This will fix the paint and the decal. One way to find out is to remove a paint chip from the inside (where it won't show when you put the liner over it ) and see if you get a shell with dents, old paint , rust etc.....

Hi Skipper there is no paint underneath the top layer. When you remove it you get blanc steel.
