you got it, no biggy, best of luck and love the site. I highly recommend doing some face work and backend to the site, I'm sure it could be more relevant to the modern era and what google wants and mobile friendly...etc...etc...etc...etc. It needs work, amazing work on the resource. 20 plus years technology with a focus on web coding languages. computer science major, history minor. So if you want any free knowledge/questions on the site/server. I'm here. Now couldn't do the actual work for free, but free knowledge is yours for the taking, PM me if you need anything. I hate to see people taken advantage of when they go to hire web people. The site is about 15 years out of date with coding standards and even further with design. I made a site like that back in 1993 on FreeYellow(not saying resource, saying design).

If I had a resource that got that many hits, I'd fix it sooner than later. My two cents.

Showing results for http://www.ibiblio.org/pha/ - Nu Html Checker
    start here.

then its still using tables... divs with inline css is modern way. using bootstrap for responsiveness.

Ibiblio.org WHOIS, DNS, & Domain Info - DomainTools
152.19.134.40 is hosted on a dedicated server
good work on the dedicated server

    Wayback Machine
looking at it, it seems like someone has tried to update it over the years.

always here to help anyone with historical information.

o and PLEASE do not take anything the wrong way, just trying to help .Amazing resource, but with my knowledge of the web, websites, seo, ppc , online marketing is where this comes from. the site could be so much more, easier to use..etc.

    ok next topic...=)

I voted None, I read books, though that isn't entirely correct as I will watch them when they do come on. The thing is I probably watch about a hour or two per month on average. There only so many decent programs to choose from and all to often I find myself nit-picking what I do watch. Too often they over simplify events.

We encourage people to take any/everything from the site and spread it around. After the Soviets collapse Russian professors were asking for CDs of the material because they didn't have d/l speeds needed for that volume of material.

I hear ya OP. It's slim picking these days. The facts are contually garbled in basic cable docs. I also can't stand when the narrator needs to use the "Unsolved Mystery" voice.

I like the older ones, that interview the people who were there. Nothing like seeing the actual footage followed with interviews of these heroes who won't be here too much longer.

I watched "Victory At Sea" the second time it played on TV. 1957, I think.

Don't watch these at all. "Course I don't have cable either, never have, a deliberate decision, even when I knew there were programs with my father being interviewed.

Cable has certainly gone the way of the dodo. Streaming has taken over. It does allow for a more "edgy" viewing experience though.

I'm with you. Almost all of my knowledge comes from reading. I don't watch much TV. My interest in WW2 started with trying to learn more about my father's involvement, but has since expanded. I enjoy reading more than TV watching. As a former teacher and researcher, I'm well aware of a writer's bias. Much of my reading is primary source material. Hyperwar is a godsend.

I haven't had cable for years. Only streaming service. Cable is a huge rip. Play Station Vue attached to Amazon FireStick. super cheap, unlimited DVR and on-demand everything

So they renamed THC (The History Channel) to whatever AHC stands for? Fits the nickname for the channel even better...(The Hitler Channel -> The Adolf Hitler Channel).

The only WW2 Documentary I've found worth watching is the classic (if not slightly dated now) The World at War series. It was one of the first VHS tapes I ever owned.I believe I have the DVD version of it now too since I have no means of playing VHS anymore.

    "American Heroes Channel"
You can get VHS-to-DVD converters that will allow you to play VHS tapes and record them on DVDs in the process. Wal-mart has them, Amazon too.

    American Heroes Channel - Wikipedia
what someone or Discovery does is start a half way decent ww2 doc channel and then over time fuck it up with American crime, lost treasure this or that then start with the bullshit the history channel does now with stupid reality series how do people watch that shit? then the discovery channel buys them if not already owned and total fuck it, rinse and repeat someone will start another half way decent ww2 doc channel and blah blah blah.

I never talk on subjects I have little to no knowledge on. My personal belief system not to be rude. Especially when in today's age a quick Google will give you even base knowledge.

My fav docs are the ones with actual people aka heroes who were there. As an infantry soldier, myself can get my misty in a heart beat and ya ya history snobs that it's all crap. But the heroes who were there know more than you or I and the actual footage is amazing to see time and time again for me. Everything is full of lies and wrong info watch the news recently? The term alternate facts just got coined from recently bullshit, the news is quite often wrong, books, mags and yep ww2 docs. But that's why you have the knowledge to see through it. I rather watch a ww2 doc then the fucking latest reality tv series or waste time watching sports or some drama series. Once again personal taste to each his own.

More power to everyone and EVERYONE in their own pursuits

reality tv as close as I get is some live footage from Iraq or Afganistan like heroes of hell highway. more than just ww2 footage and docs.

too bad Discovery always turns them overtime into a History Channel crap.

The 're-watch-ability' of the World at War documentary is out of this world! I could watch it over and over again.
