That is his signature photo...and it is of the Bismarck, with tugboats Seefalke and Seebär.

The Major standing beside MacArthur was his aid for nine years (5 in Washington, and 4 in the Philippines) before the war broke out.

oh darn...I don't know how to post pictures.

So Ill ask just a question, an easy one related to "Ike", to keep the quiz rolling...

What was the name of Eisenhower's dog?

His name was Telek, which showed his true colors when the nazi brass came to Eisenhower's headquarters in France to sign the papers of surrender...he reportedly growled when the nazi's left.

spot on...told you it was easy...your up class of 42....

One of the Patton biographies I have read described a very famous fight betyween Telek and Pattons dog, Willie.

Eisenhower was less than pleased about the disruption, but Willie had gottwen the better of Telek, causing Patton to yell as he and Willie were shown the door by Ike himself, "Yes, Ike, but you have to admit, my Willie chewed the arse out of your Telek!"

One of the great classic moments of ww2 in my humble view....
