I love that one; I can imagine it with a little tray and a few cups.

You certainly have an amazing collection. There is a real Army surplus store a few miles from me and the guy has some really neat original stuff, the store is packed. However, all I have ever purchased is an ammo can, some stickers and patches and a field jacket, M65, that is as warm as you could want with the lining in it. It is called Roman’s Army Store. Look it up on-line. romans army surplus store - Google Search

Thanks, if I am not mistaken it was the store on Hamilton Street? I lived in Allentown and in North Whitehall Township from 1969 to 2012 and I bought t shirts with Army and Navy and Air Force logos and jets on them, there, back in the 1970’s. However, I never knew that there was other floors there. I also shopped in the Original Army-Navy store on seventh street. As far as any original memorabilia, other than patches, I have my fathers dress Army coat, his mess kit with utensils and his canteen and cover with the belt, from World War II. The canteen cup/holder is stamped 1917 but the canteen is stamped 1941. I suppose they kept them in storage from WW I and issued the cup/holder along with new canteens to incoming troops. He inlisted in 1941 and was discharged in 1945 as a Captain in the 29th Infantry Division. Actually, I graduated from Parkland High School.

Here's the latest addition to my ever expanding collection of German gas masks. It's an M30 anti magnetic gas mask and a 1944 dated cannister.
    _20171216_114654.JPG
The gas mask has a nice WaA53 ink stamp on the inside and the 3rd pattern metal snout has the manufacturers initials (who was BMW) moulded in to it.
    _20171216_114620.JPG_20171216_164732.JPG
Records show WaA53 was assigned to Maschinenfabrik Augsburg-Nürnberg A.G.(MAN) which were, and indeed still are, diesel engine manufacturers.
