Are their WDs open and available for public? If so can someone tell, were to find them or whom to contact Cheers
You can find bread crumbs in the Army Green Books on The Army Service Forces - The U.S. Army in World War II Series - U.S. Army Center of Military History, check the citations and footnotes.
There is a lot of good info regarding GR Companies including a partial list of companies at www.med-dept.com/articles/quartermaster-graves-registration-service. If you are interested in reports and such, I would suggest contacting the NARA in College Park to see what they may have archived there.
Thanks will check it out, but notice some comments, that it is better to hire someone to get copies rather then getting from NARA, themselves
If you go to the link I provided, it talks about requesting an index (or list) of what records they have of a particular unit. I have never had to pay a cent for an index, even ones with several pages. Once you get the index, you will have an idea of what types of documents are available. Having that info will help you in working with a researcher.
