    i know i didnt realise haha sorry just trying to find any thing we can dont know were he waa sent his age what his job was in ww2.

    c.f.n. = Craftsman ( equivalent to Private in the REME)
    52nd l.a.a. rgt r.a w/shops r.e.m.e = Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment, Royal Artillery, Workshops , Royal Electrical & Mechanical Engineers
    c.m.f.= Central Mediterranean Forces

    In other works he fixed the guns, vehicles & equipment for 52 LAA Regt RA, in Italy.

    Light anti-aircraft guns would be 40mm Bofors.

    As mentioned in your other thread apply to the MoD for his service records .
    Don't try anywhere else only the MoD will have them.

    will do thank doing ancestry just got to try find out about railway engine drivers in late 1800s now wish there was a forum as good as this for that.
