That's exactly what I thought, Skipper......the trees and the soft hat ( seen to the left of the photo ) indicate to me the possibility.

I think it´s Greece. I have another photo of the series and the language is Greek. It is coming in another set but I guess I can send it here as soon as I get it.

Found something nice from Finland. An autograph of a Finnish HQ General Tuompo and the letter asking for his autograph.

We had already in WW1 volunteers in the German Army fighting against Russia. The little medal above the Iron Cross is their symbol and also unit symbol. They made the core of our officers in the civil war and truly saved us from losing to the red revolution spring 1918.

I've been stockpiling chemical weapons under the pile of lumber in my old stable.

Great to know that. I didn't know it was a WW1 award. Most WW2 Generals were.

This weekend finds! In fact all I and my son could carry : three German crate a, German canister and German thongs. One crate is Czech made, the other is for Sprengenaten rounds and the last one still needs to be indentified. All three were made between 1936 and 1938. I will post details in the Kisten thread. The cansite ris dated 1939 and the thongs are WW1 so all are early war relics. We had to leave another four boxes .......

Another fine catch of militaria, Skipper.

Are there any manufacturers markings inside the gas mask canister?
