Username: A-58 Postmark: December 2018 From: Baton Rouge, the capital of the U.S. state of Louisiana I'm a bit late posting this one, but I'm happy to report that A-58 has continued his tradition of sending in a Christmas card/cajun recipe from Baton Rouge. This is the third year in a row, and it was the first card I received in my new home state of Texas this year. Here is the all important recipe, this years version is for Crawfish, Corn, & Potato Soup. My WW2F/FPS postcard & Christmas card collection is now getting quite large.
mmm. only drooled a little bit. ..we have world (local) famous sweet Taber corn, which can kick recipes up a notch. ..just potato bacon cheddar corn soup is awesome, the addition of crawfish would be delicious. ..problem is, the prairie ain't got no crawdaddy. wonder if prairie oysters would substitute. my secret to good corn chowder is more butter and bacon. 58 seems like a good fella. thoughtful...xmas card. doh, wish I'd thought of that...next year for sure.
My lady is an expert at making Crab/Crawdad/Shrimp Boil, so it was nice to see this. This is his third year running sending a card, and very nice of him to do so.
