Walter Carrington served with the 726th bomber squadron, 15th air force

    My grandfather died in the 70's and he is a hero of mine. He was a radio operator and gunner for the 15th air force in a B-24 liberator. His squad was the 726th bomber squadron.
    I have all of his records and his log book of his missions. Soon I will scan them for everyone to enjoy.

    You're lucky to have those things. We anxiously await whatever you can share with us.

    I would suggest starting a new thread for them, possibly in the WW2 Today forum. This is not quite the right place for those things.

    I will, i have a bunch more stuff also to scan. Still working on it. I have his bomber wings and jacket and all his patches too. thanks for the support!!!! I love this forum!

    Did you post your grandfather's diary? I am researching a man from my hone town that was in the 451st Bombardment Group, 726th Squadron. I'd be interested to see it.
