Need help to ID this US Navy port 1945

My father was in the Pacific Theater with the US Navy in 1945. Can anyone tell what port this is, the two photos with the big white tower must be characteristic for a specific port. My father trained at the San Diego base so could this be San Diego in 1945 or somewhere in the Pacific. Thank You, BC

I think you nailed it...it is the same arch. style. I believe my father at some point in 1945 did pass through the locks when they brought a ship over from the East Coast of the USA to the Pacific. I do not have any documentation to that, but there are other photographs in his collection that suggests he did in fact even though there is no written evidence. Well done for helping solve this mystery!!!
