My name is Ken Ford, 70 years-old. I've been interested in WWII since viewing "Victory at Sea" in the 1950s. I worked for NASA for 34-years as an engineer and manager. I was born in Rhode Island and have since lived in Florida, California, New Mexico, Virginia, and now retired in North Carolina. I am most interested in WWII global strategies, enabling technologies, and politics. I have read many biographies of political and military decision-makers on all sides. I am currently reading "Never Surrender" by John Kelly. I've had the opportunity of visiting WWII sites in: France, Germany, Netherlands, Russia, Japan, Guam, and Pearl Harbor. I plan on taking a "Beyond Band of Brothers" tour in 2020. I look forward to engaging in meaningful discussions with forum members,
Welcome aboard Ken...my last name is Holden...probably doesn’t mean much to you, but it does in Australia! Look forward to your learned take on subjects...
Hi Ken. Welcome to our community. Feel free to comment on other posts or share your own thinking. Most of all, enjoy the ideas of others.
Welcome to the Forums, Ken. Went to NC several years ago to visit friends in Raleigh. Toured the Civil War battlefield at Bentonville, and the USS North Carolina in Wilmington. The latter is a must for WW2 buffs.
