Greetings all. I did a thorough search of WW2 forums and found this one to be the most responsive and interactive among its members. Congratulations on the success. About me, name is Larry, 62 year old proud son of a WW2 vet. European theater. 3rd armored division, 32 armored regiment (hence the avatar). Have been a WW2 buff as long as I can remember. Dad didn't talk much about his experiences until his later days. Got to meet one of his squad mates. A guy who actually helped save dad's life in France. My WW2 interests vary widely but focus more on the time my father spent in the war, from stateside through to Europe. I really just want to research more to pass on to my son's someday. I grew up in Chicago but have called Texas home for most of my life. I hope to be present often and look forward to the interaction.
Wild. We have another member who moved from Chicago to Texas. And new guys buy around at the bar. I'll have the 40yo Macallan, please.
Hey Larry, Welcome to the Forum. Great to keep your fathers legacy alive by passing on his history through to your son.
Welcome Aboard Larry! I spent 1977 to early 1980 northwest of Chi town in Crystal Lake, and have been in the Houston metro area since then. A few more of us and we will take over this pop stand!
