96th Battery RA.

    I am trying to find out more iformation on the above Unit.I know it was part of 19 Brigade in WW 1 and was still in existance post WW1 and in 1933.All i can find is 4 Photos of said unit on the IWM site,but thats all.All help greatfully recieved.

    That appears to be for 96th Field Regiment,not Battery,but many thanks all the same.

    I was after a relative of the missus who was killed in North Africa,after getting a bit more info i have now found out he was in 28th Fld Regt RA.Thanks for your efforts though.

    39/96 Battery was part of 19th Field Regiment which was part of the 1st Infantry division throughout the war,
    28 Field Regiment ( 1/5th and 3/57th batteries) was part of 5th Indian division. They have a tough time from May-August1942
    What was the date of his death?
