hi I was wondering if someone could help me identify this round I have. from what i can tell it is 12-15 mm in diameter (somewhere in there) and it's a bout 13.2 cm long. on the head stamps 12'o clock it has the numbers: 9381 and on the 6'o clock it has the numbers:72 Thankyou in advance Arendse
9381 is a Chinese (PRC) headstamp. The 72 is likely the year of manufacture (1972). It appears to be a 12.7x108mm cartridge which was/is used in a variety of heavy machine guns including the Berezin UB and DShK. This is the Com-bloc counterpart of the the venerable American .50 BMG cartridge.
wow thx. because of its size I thought it was a .50 cal round but wasnt sure as I've never seen one before. but yeah thx. and how do you know all that where did you learn? Arendse
