Hi folks. It's been a long since I've posted here, and I'm making a live-action trailer for my soon-to-be released videogame Radio General (Radio General on Steam). This is a WWII strategy game focussed solely on Canada's involvement in the war - you're a Canadian general leading Canadian troops. Historical accuracy is important to us, and we use real photos and videos from Library and Archives Canada to both teach and give players a grounded view.

For the trailer, I'm trying to recreate an era appropriate command tent (similar to this screenshot: http://www.foolish-mortals.net/maintheme/img/RG/Tent.jpg). Specifically, we need a Canadian officer uniform, a radio, old maps, etc. Items do not necessarily need to be authentic (but should look authentic).

I'm located in Saskaton, Saskatchewan, and I've tried searching local military surplus stores, but haven't found much. Would anybody here know where I could borrow or acquire some of these items?

Are there any re-enactor groups in your area ?

That's a great suggestion! I'll do more research into this, but the only re-enactors I know of currently in my city are of the medieval and viking variety.
