    Beginners luck. I didn't know I was buying it until I bought it. :)

    Picture of the gerkin. The leather is in really great condition. I'd wear it for cold motorcycle rides There was an oil lamp in the trunk and everything smelled like kerosene. Kept the moths and mice out of the trunk I figure.

    I don't know leather but I would guess cowhide.

Free black leather soft case with a brass TALON zipper for my Hi-Standard,full 75 round drum and carrier for my AK,Japanese bags,book,flag,grenades,gauze, battle da David336.jpg maged canteen s ake cups,U.S. Navy award documents,flight helmet,small pillow,bible,officer sword belt,officer cap chin straps,tie,belt,gloves, dentist shoulder boards.     Thanks. The framed documents,side cap,flight helmet,bible,belt pillow case are one guys stuff. The rest is a dentist's stuff.

    I am trying to complete some groupings connected to the Third Reich in my collection. I know that some things will never be achieved just because of the rarity and/or price connected. I was able to add a nice complete Lappland grouping with the original award document. Questions comments always welcomed

    The Lappland markings is a bit of a "who made it" but anyway good to go with with.

    That was part of the mystery. As I did a ton of research I know many of these awards were actually done by POWs in the British camps. It was one of those pieces that has always intrigued me just because of the circumstances of how it was awarded
