Things shut down even more today. Non essential construction has stopped. It's odd to see the road cameras on major highways with no cars showing at times. We're heading over the mountain pass tomorrow to resupply and get out of the bunker. The science is saying 6 weeks of shut down is needed. This isn't your same old flu.

    That's some good news!

I think in Germany, they've had more young and (previously) healthy people become ill. So they are doing better with it as well.

My bunker? Wouldn't advise visiting a forward observation post while mortars are incoming. And Bill's town is so underfunded the had to fire all of the lifeguards at the public beach.

Seriously, the man knows what he is talking about. Worth hearing.

If what Bill suggests could happen does happen, you won't have to come to the war zone, the war will come to your zone.

I just called my friend at the county park RV campsite that he hosts at. Park is full but that is normal. What is unusual is that there are many more RV's settling in on the 100's of sq miles of government owned desert (BLM) land surrounding the park.

Taking the 'social distancing' thing to the extreme?

I wonder if they have enough food, beer, and TP to keep them through June....or August?

Or will they need to run into town at the end of April when this thing is really going at full strength?

Bet the views of the stars at night are fantastic!

Average temps in July are 105+ and 80 at night. Rangers figure some won't survive. Refugee life is hard. Yep, stars are awesome.

The Arizona high country - Chiricahua Range. I really am socially distanced. Still, I wish I could buy Claymores on the Intertubes. You never know when the city people will herd up and turn into walkers and biters ranging into the countryside for toilet paper.

That sure is way out there. About 15 years ago we took the bus from Phoenix to Yuma then drove to Organ Pipe. I took a piece of cholla cactus home and right now I have 10 plants. Thinking tactically from the bunker, the most likely point of attack would be my back deck. The I've been thinking of setting the monsters out on the deck in a way that someone would trip, grab or fall on them in the dark.

Just came back from WalMart. What a sight. Police officers everywhere...making sure we have social distance. Absolutely surreal. People wearing masks and such.

Standing in the cereal aisle I was among 6 other adults staring aimlessly at the boxes. One blurts out..."this is the most important moment of our lives...which cereal should be our last."

We all had a good laugh. To be honest...for the most part...were keeping a cool head about this.

    Damn It

A Tulsa, Okla., native, Diffie was born on Dec. 28, 1958. He signed with Epic Records Nashville in 1990, after spending the 1980s as a demo singer. Diffie's debut single, 1990's "Home," earned the artist his first No. 1 song, which he followed with four more chart-topping tunes, including "Pickup Man" and "Third Rock From the Sun."
In addition to his work as a recording artist, Diffie also wrote songs for, among others, Tim McGraw and Jo Dee Messina. He last released an album, I Got This, in 2019.
Diffie leaves behind his wife of two years, Tara, though he had been married three times prior. From his three previous marriages, he has five children: Parker, Kara, Drew, Tyler and Kylie, the youngest of whom was born in 2004.
Diffie, unfortunately, is not the first country singer who has contracted the coronavirus: Laura Bell Bundy revealed earlier in the week that she is sick with the virus, too, but appears to be recovering. Folk legend John Prine's wife Fiona, meanwhile, is isolating herself from her husband, as she has tested positive for the coronavirus and he is at a higher risk should he contract the disease.

This bug seems to be non-denominational and indiscriminate. A real pisser.
