Quick question- would records on a court-martial be included in documents that NARA will send out with a request? Or is there somewhere else that the information should be requested from?

A side note I found it interesting that the Soviet Union executed 158,000 soldiers for desertion during the war..close to 15 divisions in all..that's some serious executions.
Thanks for the timely bump. I've been researching a Ranger who went AWOL then listed as deserted Nov '43. After 2 months in the stockade he was transferred to the FSSF. Just like in the movie. That's where I lost the trail. I'll have to look for his name for a court martial
A bit of pre WW2 USN courts martial information can be snatched from here, 1916-1937 . . . some pretty big downloads Internet Archive Search: Court-Martial Orders a typical search term for USN records would be the title of the compilations "Court-Martial Orders" . . . in GoogleBooks you'll get some hits, some can be downloaded
