An interesting article; The Unknown Hitler: Nazi Roots in the Occult Other than the fact that yes-the NAZIs were some extremely WEIRD people, who nobody with any logical faculties would not put in charge of a popstand, much less a whole country-the interesting thing in this article is the author's assertion that the Roosevelt andminstration set up a group of occultist warriors, called "The Watch", to battle with the Hitlerites. Did it really happen? http://www.medals.org.uk/unosir/archives/watch.htm How exactly did the Watch counter NAZI moves? Much more a series of personal treatise than an articles. Whilst this is indeed the common practise of commercial and sensationalist journalism, it is strictly unethical wrt professional or serious journalism. Intentionally misleading, grossly exaggerated even where in any way resembling the historical record and designed to do little more than assert the writer's personal conclusions, which are his own construct.

Things like four paragraphs to tell a lie about Cabbalistic lore. Anything reversed in old school kabbala means antithesis or "unlife" which classical education would translate to the word "malicious", it is more about how archaic hebrew language is constructed and is nothing specific to the häkenkreuz or anything at all to do with it really, there's a lot of odd things about transliterating aramaic not the least being a tiny vocabulary to work with and strange ways masculine-feminine forms are used to alter context and ultimately content.

Now if the articles had've been about Himmler, they might've been onto something. The occult thing was Himmler's or those Black Front breakaways that ran off to Prague, Hitler apparently thought it was idiotic. His kick was political, there was no occultism I can find by example in anything to do with Hitler personally, in fact he calls such beliefs idiotic and contrary to serious politics in his book, although I can understand why people like Hitler and Göring make others think of occultism, and simply relating symbolism to mass murder as the Nazis did seems to resemble occultism.

Basically, this "article" seems to me is exactly the same thing as when Hollywood says a supernatural thriller is "based on actual events." Designed to excite and entertain, not inform or rather quite the opposite. This Nazi-occult thing is story book time for kids. The only Nazis themselves that took it seriously were considered idiots by their own peers.
The primary political force: Hitler and Göring were very tough street thugs (Hitler was actually a hell of a brawler, proved right from the beginning at Coburg). Ascribing them occult fantasies is a bit too much worship for my tastes, given it is fictional.

Himmler and others such as Rudolf Hess were big-time occultists.

..ty...I like the castle stuff....the old chateaus, fortresses, and castles used in WW2...
...the occult thing is a little off the beaten path, so that's fascinating ....I've never seen it used in movies that much, but I think it should be......like a Grand Evil antagonistic villainous ''system''/council/etc --in the castle chamber

Himmler and other fanatical believers like him believed that Atlantis was real, and the race that came from Atlantis was the "Aryan" race, which became the Nordic-Germanic people. They also believed in another island called Thule, which is where the Thule society came from.

Hitler did go to Erich Von Haneusen, and he told Hitler to find a Mandrake root in his hometown, which according to paintings at the time and from witnesses he did. When his prediction that Hitler would become Chancellor at the end of January 1933 came true, he made him the official astrologer of the Nazi party until he made the prediction about the Reichstag fire, which some Nazis may have interpreted he was leaking inside info. He was also a closet Jew.

    Sorry, but no.

The belief was that the Aryans had migrated out of Northern Europe, went across Asia through Persia, into India, and possibly going as far as Tibet.

The Aryans were believed to have been responsible for giving the populations in those areas their languages, skills, and improving the gene pool. If these matters could be sufficiently proven, it would have cemented the idea that the Aryans were truly the Master Race.

The results were inconclusive at best, and a farce at worst.

1938–39 German expedition to Tibet - Wikipedia

The 1938-1939 German Expedition to Tibet was a German scientific expedition from April 1938 to August 1939 that was led by the German zoologist and SS officer Ernst Schäfer.

According to Claudio Mutti, the group of five researchers intended to contact the Regent of Tibet[31] and to visit the sacred cities of Lhasa and Shigatse. Even with wartime difficulties, the group contacted the Tibetan authorities and people.[32] They returned to Germany with a complete edition of the Tibetan sacred text the Kangyur (108 volumes), examples of Mandala, other ancient texts, and an alleged document regarding the "Aryan race". The documents were kept in the Ahnenerbe archives.[1]

After Schäfer had read a letter from his father who reported to him about the imminent threat of war and urged him to return to Germany as quickly as possible, Schäfer decided to return to Germany. After being given two complimentary letters, one to Hitler and the other to Himmler, Schäfer and his companions left Lhasa in August 1939.[20] They also took with them two presents for Hitler that consisted of a Lhama dress and a hunting dog, as well as a copy of the Tibetan "Bible", the 120-volume Kangyur. They headed south to Calcutta, boarded a seaplane at the mouth of the Hooghly River, and began the journey home.

    Ahnenerbe - Wikipedia

In 1937, Himmler decided that he could increase the Ahnenerbe's visibility by investigating Hans F. K. Günther’s claims that early Aryans had conquered much of Asia, including attacks against China and Japan in approximately 2000 BC, and that Gautama Buddha was himself an Aryan offshoot of the Nordic race. Walther Wüst later expanded on this theory, stating in a public speech that Adolf Hitler's ideology corresponded with that of the Buddha, since the two shared a common heritage.[citation needed] However, according to contemporary research Hitler himself was not interested in Buddhism or Tibet.[45]

The Nazis' search for Atlantis and the Holy Grail

AS THE Nazis tightened their grip on Germany in the Thirties the leader of the SS attended a presentation in Berlin. Heinrich Himmler could barely contain his excitement as a young archaeologist spouted an outlandish theory. He claimed to know the location of the mythical city of Atlantis, where a master race had lived before their island paradise was engulfed by the sea. A handful of survivors escaped and roamed the far corners of the Earth, sowing the seeds of their civilisation.

Linking them was a single race, which had lived in Atlantis in the Atlantic Ocean, somewhere between Portugal and Britain. Wirth proposed an expedition to prove that survivors from Atlantis had fled to high parts of the world, determined never again to be caught out by the sea. He was sure descendants were living in Tibet.

Adolf Hitler’s henchman Heinrich Himmler had a dream. He believed the Third Reich was a modern incarnation of an ancient super race. It was his justification for the Nazi party’s authoritarian rule, it’s ambitions towards Europe — and its persecution of Jews.

What he needed was something to ‘prove’ this Aryan superiority.

And the myth of Atlantis gave him just such an opportunity.

Nazi ideology was all about race.

It considered itself a superior breed. And Himmler’s version of the Atlantis tale told how its refugees scattered across the world. Their descendants had founded every subsequent civilisation — from the Egyptians in the south, the Mayans in the West, and to Europe’s Greek and Roman empires.

The Atlantis myth offered an answer: here was a single ‘super’ civilisation, older than any other, that could have uplifted such ‘simpletons’ across the world with their sophisticated ideas.

In 1931, House Atlantis was built as a temple to this myth in the city of Bremen.

It was to be the headquarters for Himmler’s Institute for the Study of Atlantis, as well as a centre of study into the Aryan ‘super race’.

At the heart of this Nazi cult was Herman Wirth.

    He believed Atlantis was real.

He believed it had been located in the North Atlantic.

He believed it had risen to power some 20,000 years earlier.

He was convinced it was the origin of the Nordic Aryan race.

And Heinrich Himmler was Wirth’s number one fan.

    And Schäfer’s search goes on.

    He wasn’t even the first.

“This very much makes me think of Percey Fawcett and his obsession to find the City of Z in the Amazon,” Dr Anderson says. “He thought it was an Atlantean colony, and in particular that it was built by whites.”

And there are constantly new ‘discoveries’ of underwater ‘cities’ based on blurry satellite photographs, shady sonar echoes or personal revelation.

“It has been a busy year for Atlantis

A 2018 survey of paranormal beliefs by Chapman University found that 56.9 per cent of the United States agree or strongly agree that ‘Ancient, advanced civilisations, such as Atlantis, once existed’.

“This number is troubling to scholars who study the ancient world, including myself,” Dr Anderson says.

And claims of lost cities are particularly problematic.

“If an archaeologist insists the city does not exist, then they are closed minded. Or instead, if the archaeologist goes looking for a city and fails to find it, they have not looked hard enough,” he says.

It's kind of ironic that the Germanic tribes that became modern Germans were considered Barbarians that lived uncivilized in the woods and ruined civilized Roman culture.

I believe that's why Himmler and the other occultist Nazis believed in all of those insane theories, because the barbaric Germanic tribes "ruined" Roman civilization, there had to have been a people who came before all of them and went around the world founding the great civilizations, and they happened to come from Atlantis or Thule or whatever Nordic paradise they wanted.

Just like Göring said " I decide who is a jew and who is not". They started to think they decided what and who is worthy of their becoming Greater Germany like the Nuremberg Laws separated the "filth" from the pure Aryan blood.

In the article speculation is likewise mixed with facts to a pseudo-cult mush.

Ludwig Roselius - who was close to the völkisch-Nordic school of thought - was indeed inspired to create the building in the Böttcherstraße ensemble by the controversial völkisch-racist Atlantis theory of the myth researcher Herman Wirth, which he had published in his book "Aufgang der Menschheit" (Rise of Mankind) in 1928.
Haus Atlantis, probably the most spectacular building on Böttcherstrasse, was inaugurated on June 23, 1931.
In the first two years after completion of the Himmelssaal, young women and men practiced expressive dance there.
In 1933, the "Väterkunde" museum, which Roselius had begun to build in 1927, moved in there.
Also housed in Haus Atlantis were the rooms of the "Club zu Bremen" (as well as a branch office of the Berlin Foreign Office), which was supposed to take care of economic development in the region and broker international business relations.
In 1933, attacks against Hoetger's architecture increased. The National Socialist press, which was in line with the Nazis, demanded a reconstruction of Hoetger's creations, and the Tree of Life in particular aroused anger. Roselius wanted to take it down, and other details of the building were also up for discussion, when Albert Speer, of all people, preempted all measures by placing Böttcherstrasse under a preservation order - as an example of "entartete Kunst" (degenerate art)!

Conclusion: an active use or promotion by Nazi VIPs should look different. By the way, I was born and raised in Bremen and therefore know a little about the city's history ;-)
But it is true that many high-ranking Nazis were involved in occultism and spiritualism: Hitler had e.g. a weakness for horoscopes.....
Moreover, the Nazis bluntly used history and mythology to give their ideology the appearance of legitimacy - because a halfway intellectual superstructure, as Marx, Engels and consorts gave to communism, did not exist for National Socialism. Unless you put Marx's "Das Kapital" on a par with Hitler's "Mein Kampf"......

There has been some serious discussion on the exitance of firstly Antarctic Germans - Then Moon Germans and now Mars Germans...A long story has been told as to what has been going on...The Americans assist the Mars Germans (who are decades ahead of everyone else) - They sit on a table and within an hour can speak fluent German...they even have to wear the German uniforms, which the American officers refuse to do unless its a dress uniform occasion. - It all sounds very far out...but the story is quite extensive.
This information from an American who says he fought "under" the Mars Germans regime. On one hand probably a complete croc of shit...on the other, its a great story, with heaps of interesting detail one would hope to read if this was real.
I know the Germans were working on anti grav technology, spinning mercury at high speeds, but little extra evidence has come forward except the dodgy saucer pictures. But if you beleive in the "foo fighters" seen regularly - It has been said that they were the German saucers...and they used EMP radiation in an attempt to cut allied bombers electricals...
Worth an investigation by anyone who likes the "other side" of reality.
