A friend of mine found this in a box with some of her dad's WWII belongings. He was in the Navy and served in Asia. I've found a few others when searching but none really give any description of what it might mean or where it came from. Can anyone shed some light on this pin? It's small - maybe the size of a dime.

    Thanks!

I don't think this is an authorized insignia or award.

Seems durably made although not sure what kind of metal it's made from. Front appears to be enameled. I'm going to take a closer look at it later today to see what other features it might have.

I found one similar on eBay with slightly different style.

There was also another pin with Honor and a cross but had a blue background and a different backing.
