Chinese group plans to raise P-40 from lake

Let's hope they can actually raise it this time around. The aircraft was first discovered in 2003. Efforts were made to recover it, but ultimately failed to come about.

The P-40 is one of the later E models that was sent to the AVG, not one of the earlier B\C models they were originally equipped with.

Given the reports that it dived into the lake, I am curious as to the overall condition of the wreck.
