Connery set the bar for THE James Bond. None came close to the quintessential character of the British spy master.

    Who ??

Watching Pierce Brosnan being serious I'd nearly pee myself laughing.
Connery had humor And deadly force. The others not so much.

even when Brosnan was running from an explosion/etc, he looked silly --like it was fake running

Bond was not a spy master - he was an intelligence officer and in his filmic incarnation he did not recruit or control networks of agents. Indeed any agents who became associated with him usually ended up dead very quickly.

I quite like Daniel Craig once he got the spy job. Also the movies got alot better compared to the Dalton-Brosnan period.

I also quite liked Mads Mikkelsen even in other movies. Weird.

Anyway, Willem Dafoe is my definite favourite.

You can keep splitting straws but the truth is It's A Movie, Fiction and for entertainment. None the less, Sean Connery's "Bond" James Bond, made the others look silly.

the bond movies have been progressively worse.

Sean was a mans man. not like craig who complained bitterly about being typecast, and whined a lot about nothing....brosnan was a pretty boy, i like his roles, not as bond though.
Sean entered the mr universe in 1953...my mom loooved that guy.
    i am a fan.

Daniel Craig brought the old Bond back in the first movie. He lived up the old rule "Start off with a earthquake and build up to a shattering climax."

I just love in Skyfall the moment he gets through the hole he made in the train roof and drops down, then just checks his jacket is straight and continues towards the bad guys.

In youtube the Skyfall part lasting five minutes, this happens at 3 minutes.

ive been watching a lot of the gamer cut scenes, spliced together.
hollywood can disappear, replaced by much more enjoyable cgi.
put the money into script, cgi.
    no more couch casting /weinstein.

Very sorry to hear this. I liked him in everything, especially The Hunt For Red October.
