I have never seen a set that had all the vehicles in.

You would likely have to search for book on individual navies, air forces, and armies(also broken into AFVs & soft skin).

M J Whitley did one volume on cruisers and another volume on destroyers - both are excellent.

There are several books on individual navies - French, Italian, Soviet, etc. That cover all warships of the respective navy.

There are many books covering individual air forces.

As well as several books on AFVs, although books covering all soft skinned vehicles are harder to find.

Countries had scores of types of ships, hundreds and thousands of aircraft, a variety of vehicles, armored or not, armed or not. If you click on the Hyperwar site below you'll have access to 22 terabytes of information on the war. The World War II resources has many documents as well.

Doesn't really exist, mate. Outside of certain 70s attempts & kid's books.

For land vehicles (the most interesting part :cutie:), you can't go far wrong with After The Battle & the blessed Vanderveen's 'Historic Military Vehicle Directory' as an ID encyclopedia of sorts, but it gives the most basic info and doesn't delve far into armour.

Like Opana says, the Internerd is the closest you'll get to such a wide encyclopedia. Been collecting vehicle books for a long time and would have to recommend at least five or six to begin properly covering just WW2.

Rather be a generalist consider being a specialist in a particular breed of military hardware. HyperWar: The Machine Gun

The only thing I can think of that covers a lot of the vehicles/equipment would be military factory.com, but even that's missing some.

Maybe we should make a google doc/sheets encyclopedia? I'll start on it and share the link somewhere if everyone is ok with that?

You have to know something exists to find it on Wiki.

Well I suppose you could compare it to wikipedia... But I think wikipedia misses a lot of stuff and also it is known for not being the most accurate...

You could try a google photos link? Or look for the 'Upload a File' button on this site
