I love them all, especially the one of the Sherman on the dirt road.

Some serious dudes in the trucks, too. The spacing says "Indian country".

That is a truckload, but none wanted to ride on the tank? Perhaps not safe.

Two trucks, two tanks, wide spacing. The boys are ready to bail. Indian country.

Not a new thought - expressed by the Australians with regard to tanks as early as 1917!

Furious has also been fitted with her after landing deck, so the photo was taken after March, 1918.

Vultee assembly line, Downey CA plant. 1942. (My first wife was born and raised in Downey. I claimed even that didn't make her soft.)

    Australian Vengeances...
I think this was the model I made years ago...

Historians' assessments of the Vengeance's career in Australian service differ. While there is consensus that the type was obsolete, some argue that it nevertheless proved successful. Others, including the RAAF's Air Power Development Centre, have judged that the Vengeance's performance was mixed and the type was not suited to Australia's requirements. - Wiki
