When I was in Jr college got into miniature tank battles with angriff. I did some scratch building. Anyway we would set up a couple of tables and do some terrain. I took a German RSO and scupted down the cab to look like the rso pak40 carrier. Soon just about all vehicle's knocked out. Two German players verses one american. We all are down to one vehicle each. Sherman vs rso and panzer IV. Sherman ignored rso just a transport shots the panzer IV get killed by rso. So the guy goes what shot me you have no tanks left. I say check out the rso. I had put the canvas cover and the cab roof but if you looked closely at the cab you could see the gun muzzle. My fellow German was even impressed and the American player was impressed as well, plus I made it so I could remove the cover and drop it back on with the cover off it looks just like the pictures of the rso pak40. Funny I looked on line and found a couple of rso oaks with a canvas cover. In my gaming group the guys would say I could take on the whole group single handed. I had several hundred at some point I had over a thousand. Dozens of Sherman's Stuarts, whole panther battalion 70 ,60 kung tigers american army German British Russian Italian had enough to field a large army for any of those countries. No Japanese armor at the time no one did any.

That's kewl what armies did you play if any in particular. What manufacturer did you like to collect CnC or GHQ. I liked CnC they seemed the most accurate GHQ was a little heavy on some of their detail but they had a larger selection.

okie dokie not familiar with that brand I'll check it out online. It was funny some of the guys were saying how America can make some of the best miniatures in the world but at the time our cars were mostly junk and looked terrible. GM haD those really boxy cars and we're trying to make certain chassis common to save money, fords sales were up because they had really good looking cars, Cad was near bankruptcy because why buy a cad when you can get a similar looking car for a lot less. Whatever executive who came out with that idea of common chassis maybe it was cost effective but it cost them sales. When cad went back to having their own unique designs their sales sky rocketed and the movie Cadillac man sure helped. I really think the government should have let them sink rather than bail them out with that loan, some wealthy investor would have bought them, probably some middle eastern or Chinese investors, wonder how much of the USA companies are owned or controlled by the Chinese. Back when I was an apprentice electrician it was the Japanese and then our economy tanked it was rough the only time when my dad and my brother and I were all on unemployment and the Japanese accused us of doing it on purpose so their stock and real estate values would drop lol, like we'd really do something that puts millions of Americans on unemployment on purpose on the government back then having to do things putting out federal funds to try and get the economy back up. Hey dings how about stop sending jobs out of the country and bring industry back and jobs back. After the 2009 blow out 1.2 million Californians were out of work the last time I checked CAgov 900,000 still had never returned to work. And they say we're doing good, liars. That keep raising taxes are try to find ways of generating more fees and taxes. Stupid things like the confection and luxury taxes. Gas guzzler tax, next thing they'll pass a tax like Oakland mayor did excess soft drink tax next tax foods that are high in calories or too much sodium and so on. If I wanna drink a 2liter bottle of Mountain Dew big deal or eat a double cheese burger, I rarely drink that much soda and don't have burgers that often maybe one or two times a week. Like people know too much of either is unhealthy but we should have the freedom to choose.
