Howdy all, I did not see this mentioned, but if I missed a thread by accident I apologize. Has anyone seen the new Das Boot series from 2018? I saw it offered on Hulu streaming and have been itching to watch it. However, I have read some reviews that it is garbage compared to the original series and movie. I love the original movie and watch it still today. I thought I’d try to check in with my friends here before I possibly waste my time.
If you saw the original TV series/film...Forget all that you saw. The new 2018 series has very little to do with the original...Which is the cause for many negative reviews. The new series is based on the second novel(Die Festung) I think was the name.
Thanks Takao, I noticed it was not U-96 for the U-boat. I wonder if it’s worth checking out? Or is it in the same quality realm as “Pearl Harbor” 2000?
