Ha my PT had me use the walker and stand and do some leg exercises and then take some steps like five or six steps twice.
After wards I was surfing the net and saw an article about what 4f means. I have to say I never looked into that so I read it. It says that during the civil war one of the only things they looked for was you were whole looked healthy and had one of your front teeth. Said that it was necessary for you to have at least one of your front teeth to rip open the cartridge. If you didn't you would have problems opening the cartridge and be a danger to your fellow soldiers. So they came up with a code 4f meaning missing 4 front teeth. Funny how requirements for one war carries on and changes to mean something else. Also kinda of a funny story wonder if people knocked out their teeth to avoid service. You'd think they would use those guys for other services like engineering grave digger and registry. Medical services artillery. Guess they didn't have different service standards

Darwin is playing host to the Singapore Air Force at the moment...
So i'm hearing and seeing F-15s fly low and slow upon approach...Who doesn't get excited about F-15s? Never been shot down by any aircraft...despite shooting down well over 100 aircraft itself. A success story for sure.

Now in theory the RAAF's F-35s should own this magnificent fighter...i wonder how that will pan out?

    Those
Those are F-18s, I think. And if people think a second-rate-current-generation-fighter like the F-35 can trump an F-15, then the F-35's stealth and maneuverability must be really something, considering the F-15 can go nearly mach 2.5 compared to the '35's mach 1.6, and can carry 8 missiles (some versions can carry 20) compared to the '35's 6.

Sorry bud...F-15s. Quite different from F-18s. They started getting them 2016.
Unless you are talking the bottom picture...3 x F18s (Australian) with 2 35s hiding behind them...

    F-15SG Multi-Role Fighter Aircraft
F-15SG is an advanced variant of the US Air Force’s F-15E Strike Eagle multi-role fighter aircraft developed by Boeing. It is intended to strengthen air defence and strike capabilities of the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF).

The 35 should be able to light up the 15 more than 50km out and fire a long range AA...the 15 wouldn't see the 35 on its radar 50km out...

Oh and CAC, I'm jealous as hell. Missed my chance at a "possible" ride back in 1974. Nothing and I'll repeat nothing, will beat the Strike Eagle for years !

Oh man! Bloody missed out for sure...that would be like getting a ride in a Mustang WW2.
The best i got with Defence was a ride in a Navy Squirrel

It was a dark and broody morning in Canberra when the helicopter landed on the grounds of Russell Offices...i baggsed the front seat "shotgun!" Up we went into the wild gray yonder...we got to 5000 feet and just hovered...weirdest feeling in the world, it felt like we were on the end of a 5000 foot pole! Then the storm hit...wipers quickly bacame useless and we couldn't see shit..."I think we better go down" says the pilot...my knuckles were white from hanging on and down we went...bloody loved it.

Paid $40.00 US dollars for a 8 minute ride in a Huey UH1 back in the 90's. Best ride of my life !! Flew over the Blue Angels on the flight line at an airshow in Peoria Illinois. Didn't feel the lift off (smoooth) and soaring over the interstate nearby we banked to the left, I was on the outside in the right. All I saw was sky. Then it hit me, Holy s#&t he's going to bank her to the right next time ! Trusting a slim 1" web seatbelt with a simple clip latch scared the bejesus out of me. We banked right, over the Blue Angels lined up on the flight line, flew down at 500' (or less - closer to 250' ) and for some reason I was smiling, laughing and screaming - Oh Hell Yes !! Oh and they didn't go over the F18's again ! They'd been warned :D
    Best money I've ever spent.

Next on the bucket list is B17 and or P47.

I remember being about 12 and went to my first Kamfari -

A bush race for the dumb and brave. (People die doing this)

And there was helicopter there giving rides for 20 bucks! An old sucker like you'd see in Lassie movies. I think it was a cattle mustering chopper there to give joy rides. (see below)

The pilot had room for two passengers at a time...so i go up to the chopper and this hot 20 something women hops in next to the pilot and i get in on the outside...unlike the picture this chopper had no doors! The pilot told us to put on our seat belts and keep them loose. Up he went only about 200 feet and went around the track so we could see the racers...i was holding onto the outside of the bubble quietly freaking out...the hot woman put her hand on my thigh and squeezed hard...i was all of 12 and suddenly the ride wasn't so scary...even when the pilot deliberately put the chopper sideways one way then the other...She looked at me and said sorry, but didn't let go...

We muster cattle with helicopters in the NT...with cattle stations bigger than some countries, it's the only way to do it...It's a dangerous job though.

Speaking of sweet rides, I won the first prize in the Navy Relief raffle one year. We were homebound out of Hawaii and the drawing came up roses for me. The prize? A fully loaded Cobra and a flock of highly aggressive AFFF jugs approaching aggressively from the north. I was getting suited up when the XO came up and offered me $5,000 for my ticket. "No can do, sir." "Well, at least we have a gunner in the front seat."

Finished my first three weeks of pt and they are going to extend another three weeks. I'm getting where I can get around better but still can really stand or walk but getting where I can almost stand just can't quite hold myself up yet. Just saw a new documentary saying a fire on the titanic may have caused her to sink faster than she probably would have. And the oenertd and the inquiry tried to hide it. All saying the fire was minor and the steel was unaffected. But every time the side representing the crew and pass, was shut down by the head of the inquiry day his line of questioning was immaterial. But theesf fireman who had to fight the fire said it spread to the adjacent bunker and they threw the burning cool onto the fires for the boilers so to make good use of it they were at full speed. Once the fires were out they saw the steel to the bulkhead was warped as well as the steel to the hull. Their saying the fire weaken the hull plates and caused the bulkhead to fail which if it had held would have kept the titanic afloat for at least one and a half hours allowing for the rescue of most on board. They also used a new CGI tech on pictures never found before. This CGI tech brings the stills to life. They can probably do the same with stills from all the wars that would be good. Anyway their theories sound interesting, and they found lots of documents that were dismissed to support their theories. LIke it does seem the inquiry tried to keep the fire a secret and when it was brought up dismissed it as a non factor. Seems the British had lots of corruption and officials that were bribed so that big business got the results they wanted.

,Glad to hear you are doing better. You can't keep a good man down.

Don't put too much faith in that garbage...The video, by Senan Molony, has been utterly destroyed by Titanic researchers - It is 3 years old, and has been disproven.
    1. The bulkhead was not holding back any water, as the gash was on both sides of the bulkhead, so it had already been compromised. What was holding back the sea water was the coal bunker wall, not the bulkhead. The coal bunker wall was not designed to hold back sea water, yet it did - for some time. Here again, if the fire was as hot as Molony stated, this section should have also been compromised, yet it was not...And indeed showed considerable strength in holding back the sea water before it failed.
    2. The firemen(not real "firemen" that put out fires, but the guys who shovel coal into the fireboxes - wore no protective gear to battle the fire, if the fire was as hot as Molony purports, they would have needed protective gear.
    3. No visible damage to the ship's pool, which was located above the "fire". Again if as hot as claimed visible fire damage should have been apparent, and the water should have been boiling, yet no damage was reported by passengers and the water was reported as comfortably warm.
    4. The photos used to "prove" the fire was bad(and which started Molony down this "rabbit hole.", the stern end of the black streak is on the wrong end of where the fire was...A full 50 feet from the fire's actual location. A simple look at the ship's plans shows this.

The fire has been scientifically reevaluated a few times in recent years, and all came to the same conclusion, it had no effect on the sinking or sinking time of the Titanic.

    Basically, Molony is baloney.

Yeah, I am a Titanic nut.

Most video makers are in it for the money, not for the science.
