Finland and nuclear power plants....what a joke..

    March 2021.

After years of delay, budget overruns and contractual arguments, the construction of Olkiluoto 3 – Finland’s fifth nuclear reactor built by French-German consortium Areva-Siemens – is finally nearing completion. It is set to become Europe’s largest nuclear reactor and arguably one of the world’s most modern.

Although the nuclear plant, which has been under construction since 2005, was supposed to be up and running by 2009, the country’s radiation and nuclear safety authority (STUK) only gave its permission to load the plant with fuel on Friday.

The €3 billion cost initially estimated for the plant rose to €8.4 billion due to safety concerns and faulty components. Lawsuits followed and negotiations between Finnish company TVO and the Areva-Siemens consortium about the terms of the project’s completion are still ongoing.

Situated in Eurajoki, in Finland’s southwestern part, the reactor will be producing about 14% of Finland’s electricity. (Pekka Vänttinen | EURACTIV.com).

I could only find a short vid' of a missile launch but regardless, technology is getting scary.

Yes it is increasing exponentially...but has only a few streams of tech...AI being the big one...coupled with robots which include drones (how useful are they becoming?) Saw the US Drone re-fuel an F-18 on the weekend...Next? Drone refuels drone. Ground based drones...the recently rejected carry drone, rejected because it made too much noise is looking at a comeback with the makers creating their most quiet drone yet.

Some stand alone techs coming in:

    Laser weapons
    Jet packs

Clyde doesn't fit, and Cyndi is about to explain that to him.

Clyde looks a lot like our Abby.
She crossed the Rainbow bridge last year.

Even if you strapped a couple of M60s on either side? I want to know how you stop...brakes?

With driverless technology 5/6G this would be an awesome mode of transport...you could overtake over the car in front...The front needs a fairing for the rider...would make it look cooler too.

Usually…you see the big boomer come between them…then decide things were cool. You can usually see Roos around golf courses simply because of the abundance of grass…

Ohhh, now I see. I'm computer paranoid and was worried you'd been hacked
    Kangaroos ??
Now that would be distracting !
Only thing I have to watch out fore (see what I did there?) Is Deer, bears and the occasional Wolf running across the fairways up here.

The designer doesn't really know motorcycles. The rider doesn't have to be crouching in a sport-mode since that thing isn't likely to bank at turns or accelerate flat out. A cruiser-type seating with straight back, feet forward, and hands stretched at near-shoulder level is better for long hovers.

I think it could be possible to bank this thing considerably...but i agree with you. Something more akin to a cruiser or Hog sitting position...but doesn't look as cool, looks are an important part of sales...
I spotted this one last night and thought its the best so far...
