Question: Battle of the Atlantic

    I have been given a scavenger hunt in my History of WWII class... There is only one thing i cant find anywhere... The Question is, Find out what is meant by the term, "Whore's Undies" (relative to Battle of Atlantic) and write a brief description of the term. Ive looked every where and cand find it, any help would be much appreciated.

    hello.....u-boat crews had black underwear...so dyed because they could not launder them freqently and would cover up a multitude of dirt etc...they called them whores undies!...i hope that answers ur Q....Karlo

    Thank you for your reply and yes that does answer my Q. Every website that had mention of "Whore's Undies" was blocked by the school :mad:
