    I remember Kuwait. Thanks Iraq

I remember Lockerbie, Scotland. Thanks Libya.

Syria? The Chemical attacks? Or Russians bombing Syria?

    Yemen?

Oh, wait...This is the United Arab Emirates after a Houthi attack. Thanks Yemen, and your backers in Iran.

Apparently, there is a lot more being ignored by some, than by others.

Embarrassing? Why? A great many folks forget their history...Flashbulb mentality...If it did not happen in their lifetime, they don't know about it.

We tried giving the bullies everything they want in 1938.

You saw how well that worked out. Because, soon enough, they want something we will not be willing to hand over to them.

My brain just caught up with what you typed. Have I completely missed your point? Because all of those countries had the vast majority of their armaments direct from the old Soviet Bloc (including Yugoslavia)

The only western weapons flooding into any of these countries were those held by participants in Desert Storm and the 2003 invasion and subsequent 'occupation' of Iraq

All those countries engaged in various foreign and internal wars quite happily with their Soviet Bloc equipment.

I don't know if it is Interesting. Russia used Belarus air space to fire rockets to Ukraine. And Russia has promised Belarus nukes. Why? Oh why? Should NATO give Nukes to Ukraine? Where is this madness going?

Listen to music and go to concerts. It helps. Always.

The Russians tried this earlier in the war, in the hopes of dragging Belarus into the fighting. The Ukrainians did not retaliate then, and Putin's plan backfired. Look's like he is trying it again.

Because if Belarus does actually join the fighting, they are going to need a bargaining chip to prevent retaliation.

Don't forget, these are not ICBMs, but short-range tactical nukes(310 miles tops). Because, God forbid that the Ukranians grap one or three of them.

What poetic justice that would be. The Ukrainians seize one or more tactical nukes and hit Russian territory with them.

According to latest satellite photos some of the Soviet military camps are some 50% emptied of troops and mechanized troop carriers next to Finnish border which indicates they have been moved to Ukraine. Analysts say it will take decades to replace these northern war experts if they are eliminated in Ukraine. Less experts to Winter warfare. We prefer it that way. Which overlooks that Ghadaffi agreed to atone and cooperate with the United States and its allies. He issued the first, Interpol-approved arrest warrant for Osama bin Laden in the 1990s. He agreed to end Libya’s nuclear and chemical weapons programs, but the U.S.A. stabbed him in the back anyway.

This is the reaction from state department psychopath Hillary Clinton on CBS News. Click the Watch on YouTube link because CBS disabled the feature to view on other sites.

The U.S. backed al-Qaeda in Syria, because our leaders have a tendency to switch sides and work with the same thugs and terrorist groups they had demonized just a week earlier. I suppose that’s why they have velcro patches for flags.

US-backed terrorists in Syria were supported by Operation Timber Sycamore and other such shenanigans. It was another ridiculous scheme that backfired, as al-Qaeda is no longer fighting with the USA … for now.

The so-called chemical attack, was a fabrication.

    https://archive.ph/QOWjL
    https://archive.ph/9XiGz

The chemical “weapons of mass destruction” claimed to be stockpiled in Iraq, in attempt to gain support for a U.S. invasion and occupation, was a fabrication.

The Gulf of Tonkin incident was a fabrication, to manufacture consent for the mass intervention and occupation of South Vietnam.

How many times does this need to happen, before you stop taking the bait from war drum-beating fools.

How does that justify America, Britain and France bombing civilians in Syria?

And you think the Saudi kings and princes are “better”?

Also swept under the rug by you, is that 15 of 19 hijackers in the 9/11 attacks were from Saudi Arabia. It was they, not the Houthi, who killed 3,000 Americans and destroyed the World Trade Center.

Indeed ... If that’s the way you feel about escalating these stupid wars, I guess you won’t mind if the IRS sends you a tax bill for $243,000, to cover your slice of the national debt. They do have monthly payment plans.

Did you actually look at the Debt Clock?
30 Trillion is the national debt...
However, your personal bias got the better of you.
You left out the Defense/War debt which is just under $750 Billion - not the $30 Trillion in your pretty picture. Which would work out to about $3,500 per tax payer.

Where do I send the check?

    CAC...

Quite a while back, I personally suggested that Australia scrap it's ground and air force's, buy 10 to 30 nuclear submarines and arm them with nukes.

At the time, I was told that this was not suitable, and that not only did Australia have no business with nuke weapons, but that our leaders would never agree to it.

Maybe in light of your statement here it looks like the best option.

It would balance our budget nicely. No more ANZAC Day marching in 20 to 50 years, but who cares about glorifying war anyway?

We could declare ourselves neutral at the same time, restoring our lost trade relations with China, and definitely making a shitload of money at the same time, and in good Chinese currency, tomorrow's super dollar. Why not take advantage of Chinese future ascendancy rather than permanently falling between two stools by backing the Yanks in every situation.

    I say again...

    Scrap conventional forces...
    Go neutral...
    Go nuclear...
    Make lots of Chinese currency...

    Live happily ever after.....

I note also that Russia, with a gross domestic product that is smaller than the state of California alone, cannot afford to pay for this war, or anything wider as people fear.

The Putin regime is driving Russia into the poorhouse, and is headed for a change of leadership....to be replaced by someone far worse...

    And THAT is the danger!

If Trump was still in power, would he have been able to reason with his good mate Vladimir Putin and avoided all this?

We'll never know that for sure...

"Sleepy Joe" is looking like another Gerald Ford or Jimmy Carter...

    Bolshevik,

Putin started collecting Money for the war after Crimea takeover 2014. The Money did not come last year. And I bet he has plans to run his "small" Peter the Great plan over other countries incl the Baltics etc. It is not over after Ukraine unless he loses the war.

If we still had the previous President, there would be no freedom in the Ukraine, Russia would control the Baltic shipping, Zelenskyy and his family would be dead, and gas would be $1.00 gallon. I might be wrong about the price of gas.

And when is the Allied Navy going to start mine sweeping operations in the Baltic? Russia controls it now. No food for the famished.

At least we have more and more " showing power" actions. We recently had a co-operation invasion practice with Swedish and local NATO troops. Also in Lappland during early 2022 a NATO and Finnish/Swedish air force co-operation session. And hopefully soon Sweden and Finland are NATO members. I think the NATO membership is already signed by 10/30 NATO countries.

Oh, yes, all of this would have been avoided.

Putin would have said "We plan to invade Ukraine."
Trump would have responded "How can we help."
The war would have been over in days.

Sleepy Joe is not looking to start World War III.

He likes to sleep, and abhors being woken up by a nuclear blast.

    More power to him.
