Hello fellow members, I wanted to introduce myself. I'm Chris, a Kansan who relocated to Oklahoma in 2018 for employment. I'm a Iraq combat wounded veteran, served in both the U.S. Army and Air Force. In civilian life I have done law enforcement, aviation maintenance, and now am an Airport Manager. I'm extremely interested in the U.S. Army/Air Forces during WWII; am a member of a Living History Group. I focus my Army Impressions on Counter Intelligence Corps and also do AAF Impressions. I'm am a Flight Engineer on an A-26B with the Commemorative Air Force and am a certified A&P. My son who just turned 16 is getting interested in Living History and currently does a 45th Infantry Division Medic and USAAF Impression. I look forward to learning and talking with you all.
good to meet you, Chris and glad you dropped in to join. I see you Q over about Warrant Officers and I know there will be someone who can answer you.
Cheers and welcome Christopher! Very happy to have you on the site, I like the avatar also. Though I've never been to an event, I've become very interested in Living History of late. I had plans to attend a North Texas event last year, but the Chinese Flu intervened. Would love to see some photos and get some tips.
Depending where you're located in Texas, there's an event occurring on September 16-18, 2022 at Fort Washita, Durant, Oklahoma. I do events with the Thunderbirds Living Historians and War Department Living Historians of Oklahoma.
