Not surprisingly, the ammunition had the highest priority for delivery to the British combat troops. What was the second thing on the priority list?

Ok, In WW2 , what was the unofficial nickname of the 51st Highland Division (clue: it wasn't "Harper's Duds", or "Ladies from Hell")?

Well done, Jaeger! It was indeed 'The Highway Decorators', from their habit of putting up signs with the Divisional logo on nearly every road in North Africa.
Your turn.

Sorry, I forget the regiment, but his great book the Moon is Blue or the Moon is a Balloon, is an excellent acount of his early years in the army, hillarious at times and ends with him in Germany in Phantom I believe? Sorry for interrupting quiz but if you have not read that book your missing out big time...

I think the book is called the Moon is a blue balloon.
A pointer is that you won't find the regiment in the 51st HD.

The Highland Light Infantry is correct urqh.
Among the other regiments was the Kings Royal Rifle Corps and the commandoes.
As a curiousity Peter Ustinov was one of his soldiers in the HLI.
Your turn urqh

Yup, Martin you get it... When I asked it, it occured to me its probably been asked on this quiz before....
So Martins turn again..My great grandad was a survivor of the titanic... He was a stowaway really, in great Murphy tradition on thinking he was going to get caught he launched a lifeboat the day before the iceberg hit, and my great great grandad was killed at the Big Horn, camping, heared a noise... went over to complain..
His great great great....grand dad in 1066 was testing the new celtic bow on the ranges outside Hastings, and let his finger slip on the new Irish string the Brits were thinking of buying..2 miles that arrow travelled.....his mate warned him not to do that again as he could have someones eye out...ok sorry...all yours Martin..

When he was in primary school, his teacher pointed out how the Jews were causing all the problems.
