Seeing as we have a quiz on most things, thought I would start a weapons one.
Name this vehicle?

I spent a while looking at Italian tanks, as this was obviously rivited (an AWFUL way to make a tank) rather than welded or cast, and I thought only the Italians did that.
However, turns out it is a Belgian T-13 tank, likely Model B3, Entered service 1937. One hundred and fifty units produced.

It looks like a KV2 but it is in fact a Bishop, a 25 pdr gun on a Valentine chassis. Like the KV2 however, it is an ugly monster!

This looks like a 7.5cm Panzerabwehrkanone 40 ( Hunengrab ), a Rheinmetall-Borsig design.

On 20th February, 1945, the Fuhrer gave permission for... what to be issued, how many, and to whom ??

It is either the Volksgewher (sp???) or MP3008 to be issued to Volkssturm and 'wherwolf' units. Am I anywhere near?

Vermillion, I think that'll be good enough !
The subject of the question was in fact the 7.92 'B-Patrone', or Beobachtungspatrone, the 'observation cartridge'.
It was, in fact, a highly illegal ( and unstable ! ) explosive bullet. The secret message from OkW to the Quartermaster-General dated February 20th read ; -
'The Fuhrer has released B-Patronen for use only in the East - each sniper on the Eastern Front is to be provided..with 20 B-Patrone in addition to his supply of 90sS patronen..'
So, you've got the next question, Vermillion....

The original model of this tank never saw active service. However, the last 84 models produced were the O.P. variant carrying a dummy gun and two No. 19 Wireless sets for use by the FOOs (Forward Observation Officers) of the Sexton-mounted artillery regiments then being formed.
The OP version of this tank saw action in Normandy and in clearing the Channel ports.
What is the tank?
