Well done for the research on Biggles. If it ever gets a DVD release--i'm buying a copy. Ah yessss, I forgot about Bertie, Algy and Ginger.
Your question sounds like it is to do with the (Original)Star Trek TV series episode titled: "Patterns Of Force."
The fictional Captain was Captain James Tiberius Kirk [James T. Kirk] of the USS Enterprise NCC 1701. Mr. Spock was the one who said that he would be rather persuasive as a Nazi.
Where it happened I cannot remember since its been years since I have seen that episode--I can only guess. I don't recall the name of the planet but, I think the people were known as the Ioations. If the Ioations were not the correct peoples in that episode, then they were the "Gansters" trying to act like Hollywood gansters. I think their "Bible" was a book writtten about Al Capone and Bonnie & Clyde.
BTW, this episode was called: "A Piece OF The Action."

You're right, it's "Patterns of Force". Spock proves that he also can be sarcastic. Your turn.

Thanks. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
What war movie which showed a somewhat prejudiced American Lieutenant who was in command of a Platoon of soldiers who were of Japanese descent?
Hint: A future Sgt Schultz (John Banner) had a small part in this movie as a German Officer.

This is an off-the-top-of-my-head guess, but was it 'Indiana Jones...' ?

You could have added *which* Indiana Jones, but I trust in you that you have meant the right one.

'Indiana Jones and The Bubble Of Doom '?
Just kidding - actually I didn't like the movies very much at all but dimly remembered the Mercedes convertible.
As I really didn't expect to win you'll all have to wait for the next question....

Here's a not easy one.
During filming of 'The Dam Busters' in 1954, one of Gibson's men looked so similar to his character that technical advisor Grp. Cpt. Charles Whitworth frequently called him by the character's name in error.
Who was the actor and who was he portraying ?

No - although he was good - I've made it easy by narrowing it down to an aircrew member of 617 Squadron...

It is impossible to research, and it does not make sense to guess characters one by one.
The answer does trivially apply to the dog Nigger, which was both the same name for the acting and impersonated dog.
Despite of this, one more guess, probably wrong:
Aircrew main character - Richard Todd as Wing Cmdr. Guy Gibson?
If not, I give up.

Honestly Martin, HOW do you expect anyone to find out? You got this info probably from a book, or the movie DVD. There seems to be no web source (prove me wrong). It is hardly possible to search for photos of all persons involved and find out this way... so how?

Funny thing, sometimes I'm able to answer questions here without recourse to a search engine
The answer is : Character : David Maltby, Actor : George Baker.
The answer is available in John Ramsden, 'The Dam Busters' ( IB Tauris 2003 ) as well as 'After The Battle' magazine. And maybe could be answered by anyone who has paid more than passing attention to both film and actuality.
Your question.

So do I, provided I have the book. If nobody else has your book, well then, nobody can answer your question. It is as it is. Thanks anyway.
Next question:
In 1944, the German populatuion did not have much to laugh - except this very classic school comedy. The main character's name has 3 'f' - one in front of the 'ei', two behind the 'ei'. Its title is...?

KM, don't feel like the Lone Ranger, Martin stumps me on these Dambusters questions too.

After the hints, it is indeed *very* easy to research.

It seems nobody knows or wants to find out (a pity, the movie is hilarious, and researching very easy after the hints! )
It's Die Feuerzangenbowle.
New question:
What was the name of the (well working) anti-British nazi propaganda movie, picking out the Boer Wars as the central theme?
