Okay this may or may not be a bit too obscure...if so speak up and I'll try to come up with something else.
This National Football League Hall of Fame running back (American football for those of you overseas) got his first movie role in the 1976 movie, Midway portraying Cmdr Delaney, the engineering officer aboard the USS Yorktown. Who was this man?

Getting back to Steve McQueen and the Great Escape.
He played an American and also a small role as a German in the movie. Name the German role.

If I made Col. Hessler more specific I would not know the answer myself.
I read he tried to do the over the fence jumps himself but kept falling so he played a German chaseing him self, but I don't know which motorcyle.
Over to the Col.

More specific, eh?
</font> - During the climatic motorcycle chase, John Sturges allowed Steve McQueen to ride (in disguise) as one of the pursuing German soldiers, so that in the final sequence, though the magic of editing, he's actually chasing himself.</font>
</font> - Hilts (Steve McQueen) strings a wire across the road to obtain a motorcycle. McQueen himself played the German motorcyclist who hits the wire.</font>

That would be the 1969 Triumph Bonneville 650. The same model was used by the Fonz in Happy Days.
As for my question, how bout a little Band of Brothers? After Lt. Spiers relieves Lt. Dike, E company proceedes with the attack on Foy. What company does Lt. Spiers hook up with by running across the German lines then comming back in fear that they will get away?

My mistake. It was a 1961 Triumph TR6. Now I feel like an idiot.

O Boy. Sorry about that. Things aren't going to great around here the last couple of days. I've got so many things on my mind. I'll shut up now so I don't say anything else stupid.

I was right, it is the 1961 Triumph TR6. TA, the Triumph TR6 is both an automobile and a bike.

Thanks for the kind words TA. Things made a complete 360 over here and everything is back to normal. Thank God.
Come on guys, my question isn't that hard. 9 companies are in the regiment (Able through Item). You can rule out Easy and Dog. Fox company was at the right flank. That leaves 6 out of 9. Take a guess.

Baker company Should have taken a 180 turn. A 360 will put you back where you were. You have to be a space commander like me to know stuff like that!!

You're always criticizing me TA! I had 180, then I edited my post and put 360. It sounded better.
The answer to the question is Item Company. I'll ask a real easy one this time. Who did Robert Shaw play in the movie Battle of the Bulge?

I still am saying the TR-6 is a car. This site says it was a Triumph 650.
