Including caverns, disused mines, road & rail tunnels, quarries, cellars, and even subways....how many underground factories/facilities were discovered by the Western Allies in their advance across Europe that produced aircraft components, "V' weapons, some jet fighters, and ostensibly for the production of synthetic oil ?

The Finn's got 15 PzKw IV's from the Germans to use in their defense.
They did not like them much, preferring the StuG.
What was their "nickname" for them, and why ?

Germany also delivered 15 PzKw IV Ausf. J tanks for another re-equipping armoured battalion which didn't became combat-ready before September 1944. Finns didn't like them a lot because of their bad suspension. The whole tank tended to jolt a lot which made aiming very difficult when moving even at slow speed. In Finland the nickname of PzKw IV was "shaker".

a bunch in May, I see why you excluded it.
Unsure of "enemy action" meaning. Being driven aground counts, even accidents such as collisions, premature/mishandled munitions are all results of the war... enemy action. They probably wouldn't be where they were, carrying what they were, in whatever weather/sea condition there was, without enemy action(s)?

According to Wartime Britian 1939-1945 by Juliet Gardner: "Between the outbreak of war and the beginning of May 1940 a total of 268 ships flying the British flag - from battleships to minesweepers and trawlers - were lost as a result of enemy action: from May May until December 1940 the losses were never less than fifty-seven a month." Based on some of the description preceding, "enemy action" would include magnetic mines which were also a hazard to non-military shipping.

Ah Ha, twas like with American shipping then, many "Protectorate", and loosly aligned other nations were "flagged" as American, and added to the "Official" totals. From what I recall reading, that number (with "Wildcards") was again over three times the number of "Naturals".

Name the aircraft that LBJ flew his only combat mission during the war.

He was not a pilot or crewman, just a passenger so he could boost of combat experience. He was in the Pacific theater.
