Re: Name This Naval Vessel 2
French Navy. Its the cruiser Suffren from the late 30's judging from the rig.
Later under a US refit she loses the catapult and main mast and has a large AA battery fitted for Pacific service.

Re: Name This Naval Vessel 2
tiz for sure of of the Sufferns, either Suffern, Colbert, Foch, or Dupleix.
Two and a half height deck, A turret even (level) with Y turret, twin cranes even with second stack, two catapults, a second mast, and a bow unique to the series/country.
Which "coal-burner" it is I know not.
TA got it first

Re: Name This Naval Vessel 2
The Colbert is correct.
Earl got it right using the shotgun method, Terry used a single shot rifle. Y'all duke it out for posting rights.

I can't really see it very well. Could you attach a view of the ship so we could enlarge it?

Looks like either the Almirante Brown or 25 de Mayo of the Argnentinian Navy.

Re: Name This Naval Vessel 2
Perhaps later in life. I don't know her history from birth to death.
The same language is spoken, but different country.
I edited the flag she's flying.
Think civil war....close to Za.

Re: Name This Naval Vessel 2
You are right. It is the cruiser Canarias. Looks like the Spanish took their cues from the British and Germans with regards to the design.

Re: Name This Naval Vessel 2
Yes indeed !
A "Porridge" of a number of national concepts. German/British hull, a British wave reducing(?) bulge to the bow, British again for rectangular turrets (with rounded fronts), French "Bearn" type stack, bridge works German with Italian roundness.
Quite the mixed bag.
and another
