The cut-down after mast was the tip off.
How about this war-weary old girl?

Re: Name This Naval Vessel 2
HMCS Chebogue K 317. Its the only Canadian River class frigate hit by a Gnat torpedo. That is consistant with the damage shown. The ship was declaired a constructive loss and scrapped.

Re: Name This Naval Vessel 2
Either a British or Canadian minesweeper. Possibly Bridlington or Bridport.

Re: Name This Naval Vessel 2
Well TA, she is a minesweeper, but not of the countries you list. Though Britain did order 20 of this class, they were all maned by foreign crews.

Re: Name This Naval Vessel 2
Bathurst class. Australia had 38 in service, 4 more went to India. Post war several went to the Netherlands and about a half-dozen to Turkey.
Without finding the exact photo it would be difficult to pin it down to the exact ship.

Re: Name This Naval Vessel 2
While HMAS Whyalla is on static display outside her home town in South Australia I suspect you mean the restored HMAS Castlemaine that is now a museum at Melborne.
